The 14E PATRIOT Fire Control Operator is currently a critical MOS, currently offering $40,000 cash as an enlistment bonus.

The Patriot Fire Control Operator is responsible for operating/maintaining the entire PATRIOT missile system. An important part of the Army’s Air Defense, they launch advanced-technology ammunition that is capable of neutralizing multiple air targets.

14E Patriot Fire Control Enhanced Operator Maintainer

Primary duties include:

  • Responsible for PATRIOT system placement, initialization, and operator maintenance
  • Real-time status reporting during combat
  • Maintenance on coordinate, communication and target identification systems
  • Evaluate intelligence and identify targets
  • Establish radio and wire communications in the field
  • Evaluates target data to identify and engage targets

14E Training Requirements

Job training for a PATRIOT fire control enhanced operator requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training held at Fort Bliss, TX.
